How to use the site

The site shows an unfolded Rubik’s Cube.
The color of a side is determined by the color of the center sticker of that side. Typing the first letter of the color of an individual sticker into the text box with the correct side selected will make the same color on the cube change color. When entering the orange, green, red, and blue side, the white side should be on top. When entering the white side, the blue side should be on top. When entering the yellow side, the green side should be on top. When ready, press solve, and you will be presented with a step-by-step solution for how to solve your cube. Pressing clear will clear the selected side from the cube. When solving the cube, the cube should be held with the white side on the top and the green side on the front.

Rubik's cube notation

L signifies the left side
R is the right side
U is the top side
D is the bottom side
B is the back side
F is the front side
A single apostrophe signifies a counterclockwise turn while no apostrophe signifies a clockwise turn when looking at the side. The number 2 following a side name means you need to turn the side twice.

What to do if I get an error?

Sometimes, if your cube was disassembled at any point, your cube might not have been put back together correctly, and this can cause your cube to be impossible to solve.

Error messages and how to fix them:

One of the edges of the cube has an odd orientation

To fix this, remove one edge from the cube flip it and put it back in.

One of the corners of the cube has an odd orientation

To fix this, remove one of the corners twist it clockwise and put it back in. If this doesn't solve your issue remove the same corner and twist it clockwise once more.

Two pieces of the cube are swapped

To fix this, remove the top left and top right edges, swap them, and put them back in the cube.

Every side must have 9 colors

To fix this, input the entire cube before pressing solve.

One or more of the pieces does not exist

To fix this, make sure that you input the cube correctly.
